It was a nice week for storm chasers in Malta, with 5 thundery days in a row.
Two months’ worth of rain crashed down on Malta in a single day on Monday 14th September, turning roads into rivers. The massive thunderstorm saw the largest amount of rain recorded in a 24-hour period in more than two years. On Tuesday and Wednesday the Cyclone positioned over the Ionian Sea, brought with it a two unstable nights with storms which offered us frequent CG lightning close to Filfla and a massive strikes which lit up the Golden Sands Hotel in Ghajn Tuffieha.
